Paul was up early taking photos of the sunrise on the river.
At breakfast we said our goodbyes to Shemeka, our wonderful server, and also said goodbye to Jim and Phyllis. They are flying out much earlier than us so we split up here. It was wonderful traveling with them again.
We had about a two-hour drive from Lewistown to Spokane. We traveled along the river for a short while...
before heading up the side of the river bluffs.
The drive took us across the Columbia Plateau with many windfarms
and vast expanses of harvested wheat fields.
The first stop in Spokane was the Davenport Hotel. This was a beautiful, grand, old hotel.
The bus ride through town took us past many sculptures and outdoor art,
old mansions,
and to Maniot Park
and Maniot Park Duncan Gardens (also called the Sunken Duncan Gardens)
and the nearby Conservatory.
We also had a stop at the childhood home of Bing Crosby.
And we got to ride the 1909, fully restored, hand-carved, wooden Carousel.

More photos of Spokane.
The final stop was the airport where we boarded a plane to Sacramento and then on home. A fun week.
