Today was a pretty easy-going and short day. We docked at the Sacagawea State Park in Pasco, Washington. Docking here was quite different. There was no pier to tie up to so the boat nosed into the bank and lowered a gangway off the front of the boat onto the ground. And they said that they would keep the paddlewheel during our stay there to keep us snug up against the dock.
We opted to just take a walk around the park. There was a nice, small museum about the Lewis and Clark Expedition and Sacagawea.
There were also a number of tables and tents set up. It was Sacagawea Days and various groups were out in costume and demonstrating various crafts from the early 1800’s.
From Pasco we left the Columbia River and are now sailing up the Snake River.
